GRADIENT MESH PORTRAIT

Image
This was a CHALLENGE and It was extremely time consuming! We were using the gradient mesh tool, which I have never used before, so I'm not very happy with the result, but it was my first stab at it and I felt like I learned a lot about it during the process. This is my final version and the original image.

BUSINESS CARDS

These were a lot of fun! But it was also challenging to come up with new ideas for each one. The assignment was to come up with 3 things about yourself and create a logo out of it. So what I did was come up with three things that I love, which is: wine, cats and travel. At the bottom, you can also see my sketches of my logos before I got started.

CALLIGRAM ASSIGNMENT

Image
This was a very special assignment because we honored the victims of the Parkland high school shooting that happened in Florida about a week before we got this assignment. All the text that is used for this assignment are the names of the victims. For my hair, I used a speech by Emma Gonzales, a surviver of the shooting.  It took a really long time to get to the finished result of this assignment. Half the work was laying in all the different shapes that would become my face, and the other half was to adjust them so that I would get the text to fit into all of my shapes. But it ended up pretty cool, and I really got to learn how to use this tool, which I'm sure I'll have plenty of use for in the future.

HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS IN ILLUSTRATOR

These projects are from when we just started working in Illustrator for this class, and this was hour homework for the first week. The assignment was basically just to play around with Illustrator, and this is what I ended up doing!
