AUTOSCOPY

Image
This ended up being quite the challenge. The assignment was basically to blend ourself with something that was holding us back. I spent a looong time trying to figure out what I was going to do for this assignment. The best I came up with was making myself into a robot, which also sounded pretty cool. The idea behind it was that sometimes everyday life can become very robotic, and you just forget to enjoy life. But, actually turning myself into one, wasn't as easy as I thought. I spent a good 7 hours trying to get those "glowing" stripes in place while looking at a million tutorials trying to figure it out. SOMEWHERE I'VE NEVER BEEN

Image
So this assignment was about placing yourself somewhere you've never been before, with the help of photoshop. It was really challenging finding photos online that I thought would work to put myself in, and it was also challenging to then take photos of myself that would fit it in. Finding photos was more of a work for me than to actually placing myself into the photo in photoshop. We were only supposed to do one, but I couldn't decide which one was better, so I made two. This one I wanted to place myself in Africa on a safari! I was kind of lucky finding this old picture of myself and I also saw the picture with the zebra and saw that the sun seemed to hit me in the right place according to the original image of the zebra. BLACK & WHITE TO COLOR

Image
This was a fun assignment. We got to learn how people restore old black and white photos into color in photoshop. We were supposed to choose a picture of ourself, turn it into black and white and then recolor it five times. The picture below is the original black and white image, and all the colors you see further down are just literally painted on in photoshop. This one was the picture were we had to try an replicate the original image as close as possible in colors.  Realistic Color Restoration, 0%, 46 KB Realistic Color Restoration, 25%, 88 KB Realistic Color Restoration, 50%, 182 KB Realistic Color Restoration, 75%, 301 KB Realistic Color Restoration, 100%, 716 KB These next ones are chosen of off the color wheel on Color.Adobe.com. POSTER ASSIGNMENT

Image
I had a lot of fun working on this project! I really like working in Illustrator and this was right up my alley. It took me a long time and a lot of searching around the internet for some inspiration for this project, but eventually I found my inspiration (bottom picture) of Twiggy. I just thought it was a really cool poster and our professor said that we could replicate or take inspiration from other posters for this assignment, so that's what I did!
